Welcome to the new SMC website.
We intend to launch at December 20, 2014 , so stay tuned for more information about SMC 2015, and beyond.
Meanwhile, please note the dates for SMC 2015: 10th & 11th October 2015.
Yes, that’s right, SMC 2015 will be held over two days in 2015, and to anwer some of the questions that might be raised about this two days-thing, please read this:
On Saturday 10th we will host the SMC Interactive Workshops Event
This will be a day filled with a large variety of workshops that you can actively participate in: paint and built under supervision of many renown figure painters and scale modellers, who will tell and show you their techniques and their approach to achieve the results on their figures and models that you read about in magazines, on the internet and of course, can see in real life at the shows they attend. On Saturday there will be a limited amount of trade too, but we aim to focus at trade that is directly related to the workshops being held. We think that, in a certain way, this makes sense.
We have successfully tested the workshops-concept on SMC 2013 and 2014, and as SMC has become too large to see and to do everything in one day, we decided to split up some of the show activities, as described above.
We do not have a fixed program for the workshops yet, but it will most certainly be a varied program, and will incorperate workshops for figure painters, both Fantasy and Historical, and workshops aimed at Aircraft & AFV modellers, diorama & base building, airbrushing and more.
We plan to present our program for the SMC Workshops Event in January 2015.
On Sunday 11th you can enjoy SMC as you know it:
Over 6.000 m2, indeed larger again, with clubs, trade, demo’s, a competition including a new category especially for Wargamers: Legions on Display , a new mind blowing concept for the EXPOZONE and everything else we can think of to make SMC 2015 into an unforgettable and energetic event.
Rumour has it that SMC 2015 will also be the scene of a new international Warhammer Tournament …but like we already said, these are rumours.
See you in 2015 on October 10 & 11.
